Endangered Dianella

This project is a joint collaboration between La Trobe University and the Deep Creek Landcare Group. The outcome of this project is that we now know which sites are ideal for planting the two endangered Flax-lily species.

Both Dianella amoena (Matted Flax-lily) and Dianella tarda (Smooth Flax-lily) are suitable to plant at Doggett's Bridge. This will be our largest planting site for this project. The Matted Flax-lily will also be planted at the Olympic project site north of Lancefield. While the Smooth Flax-lily will also be planted at the Sheehan’s Reserve site near Romsey.

Follow up care of this project will continue.

Project Completed.

This project is made possible though the support of Western Water.
